You probably are like most other people out there that have tried many of the exercise and diet fads out there. Have tried other personal trainers before, yet didn't get the results that you expected. Why didn't it work? What could I possibly offer to you that you haven't tried? For starters- there is no studio or warehouse that you come to and train in. I come to you! That’s right! I come to where you live. I bring the equipment, I train you in your home, in your office, in your backyard, or at a nearby park/playground. You save time and gas money! If you prefer I can train you in a gym you are already a member of, or I can train you in my home gym. It's whatever is most comfortable to you. The programs I place you on will be based on your goals. They are not something I read in some book, or some cookie-cutter program I have for everybody I train. Not everybody wants the same things. An athlete might want to improve his/her vertical jump and time in the 40-yard dash, but a working mom might want to lose 10 pounds and improve their cardiovascular ability.
Implements. Like I said I train people where it is most convenient for them, so the equipment I have to use must be portable. Don’t expect me to pull up in front of your house with leg press machine and a treadmill. Most people think to get a workout in they have to go to the gym lift barbells, dumbbells, machines, use stair steppers, treadmills, etc… NONSENSE! I use a variety of equipment to train both athletes and general population clients. Kettlebells, sandbags, water-filled kegs, sleds, rope, punching bags, sledge hammers, tires, medicine balls, elastic bands, swiss balls, chains, and the most important one of all, your own body. Everybody has access to their very own personal gym right in their own home, and 99% of you don’t realize it. With the numerous amounts of implements that I put into action with my programs, I also tend to use different types of training; Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, strongman, bodybuilding, sprint training, tempo/interval training, fat loss, bodyweight training, and underground training. These are the main ones, but from these come many different hybrids that will be implemented for the betterment of your goals. I know to some people the tools I use might sound intimidating, because it is different and it's probably something you have never tried before. Don't make the mistake of passing on my services because of this. I guarantee three things when you workout with me: results, continual progress, and fun.
Obviously, I am not your typical personal trainer that you find in health clubs training clients, I have done that before and will never go back to it. I am first and foremost a strength and conditioning coach for athletes, which means I hold the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and United States Weightlifting (USAW) certifications. But I am also a certified personal trainer (NSCA-CPT). In America we tend to always put people in classes, it's unfair but that's the way society works-- it's no different with personal trainers and strength coaches. We tend to think that athletes should train a certain way and the general population should train another. I believe it's just a matter of toning it down a bit for the general population. Can you say that you wouldn't want to have the body of an athlete? You probably want to change something about yourself physically otherwise you wouldn't be on this web site. Athletes train for their sport-- to get better at their sport. The way they look just happens to be the good consequence of their training and diet.
Why this type of training? Because it works! Be honest with yourself, what you have done before hasn't worked for you in the past. My type of workouts will challenge you, but they will be fun. Training gets boring when you do the same thing over and over again, which is one of the top reasons people can't adhere to an exercise program. My workouts you don't know what to expect, but you are making progress-- steadily and continuously. That's the way to a healthy way of life. And when your fitness levels are up, your looking and feeling better. It carry's over and improves the other areas of your life.
